The beauty of the meadows never ceases to amaze me. The number of wild flowers and I don´t have a clue what they are but what a sight. I have never seen this in the UK? They may well exist but here they area every where!
Actually there are lots of old fashioned wildflower meadows in England these days. Farmers get subsidies now to grow them without the fertiliser and herbicides which usually render grasslands a dull, monoculture green. I've seen some great water meadows in the Lake District. There's nothing more beautiful than a meadow is there? They're usually glittering with butterflies too. The poorer the soil, the more colourful the flowers of course, one of nature's glories. In fact it's nearly as lovely as you.
In actual fact the journey began some time ago. The Design course has reinforced decisions that had already been made and given me the tools to put together some sort of plan to make that first step a little less daunting.
I returned from the two week course today and although extremely tired I have been so motivated not just by the course, but by the people I had the good fortune to meet, that I have created this blog. I owe a great deal of thanks to those people, for their inspiration, support and a great deal of laughter. I'm not sure what the outcomes will be, but I am sure it will be an interesting journey and welcome you to join me.
